For Imagine Nation Photography, shot with Toto Villaruel.

2nd December wedding (for last year anyway), December 12, and it was in Pampanga. Awesomeness. XD Let’s jump into it!

Because Pope and Mav both love traveling, this was their invite. Cool. :D

1

Let’s get to Pope first. :D Here he is enjoying a light-hearted moment with his brother. They’re at their house. Yes, we shot in Pope’s house, and it was freaking huge and cool. And his family was very nice at well, considering it was… 8 am? I mean, I wouldn’t be that nice (because in general, I am cranky). But I digress. XD

2

Dressing up time!

5

7

And on to the portraits. :) Early morning light, thank you!

8

Whee, drama. :D

9

11

Let’s move on to Mav. :D Make-up funz. XD

12

13

14

And a very unique bouquet. Lahvet. XD

15

Off to the church, Our Lord’s Transfiguration Parish. :D

Pope makes like a victorious runner. Haha. :D

37

Nice one Pope. XD

38

39

40

We then headed to Paris for a quick pictorial. See the Eiffel Tower? XD Haha!

41

And then back to Manila for more pictures. XD

42

43

Love. :D

44

Pope and Mav, congrats! We had a great time at your wedding! :D

I forgot to mention that in the course of this whole shoot, so many things happened as well. Toto’s D300 suddenly got busted, and then my 85mm lens got busted too. We just really thank God that we were able to create beautiful images for the couple. Thanks God. :D

Again, we’ll skip a bit (sorry backlogs XD), and we’ll go to more recent shoots. Haha. :D Jake is my batch mate in high school and college, although we had different courses, and yes, he’s getting married already! Cool. :D Anyway, they’re having their wedding in a few months, and I was really honored that they decided to get me as their photographer.

Anyway, since they only had a short time before the wedding, they decided to have the pre-nup as early as possible, and thankfully it fit into my schedule, and thankfully also, Anna’s family has a house in Tagaytay. Hehe. :D

So… hmm… how do I sequence the pictures… I’m not really sure, haha. :D It’s actually a long and complicated story, because we arrived in the house almost like sunset already, and so… ahh, it’s too long. Let’s just tell it while we show the pics, yeah? :D

Anyway, we arrived like almost 6, so the light was almost gone. I just thank God the sun stayed up long enough for us to snap some pics. :D

Something basic, just for a little warm-up. Hehe. :D

1

2

3

Favorite. :D

4

Thank God again we go to use the purple sky. :D

5

We then waited for the sun to go way down, so we could shoot at night NIGHT. In the meantime, we kept ourselves entertained thanks to Toto showing us the show Ghost Hunters. Nice choice. XD

Night shooting time! Lahvet. :D

6

7

No lights? Use all possible sources! :D Car lights+flash=WINNER. :D

8

Silhouette win! :D

9

10

11

12

After that, we… well, we watched more episodes of Ghost Hunters. Before sleeping. Nice. XD Thank you to Anna and Jake for letting us spend the night…

but wait, there’s more. :D Since we felt that our pictures were too few (and they were), we all agreed to wake up early the next morning for more pictures. Yay. :D

Yes, say hello again to the white outfits. Good morning. :D

13

14

15

16

Having fun in the cart. Or is that a wagon? XD

17

18

One more outfit change. :D

19

21

Love this. :)

22

All I can say is, thank you Jerry. :D

23

24

25

Awesome backlight! :D

26

Cute. :D

27

After that, Jake and Anna treated us to a really big breakfast. And then they headed home, while me and Toto went off to our next wedding… which hopefully, will be here soon. Haha. :D

Good job Jake and Anna! :D Can’t wait for your wedding!

Pardon the pun. Haha. :D

Incidentally, we also shot with Atty. Raymond Fortun. The wedding was coordinated by Jody Liwanag and company, the make-up by the Make-up Studio team (Xeng and Angel), and the video coverage was by Wang Videography. Just sharing. XD

Yay, now we’re in December! :D This was my first December wedding. This was also my first time to shoot wedding preps in Discovery Suites in Ortigas. Again, just sharing. XD

Jon and Raquel are both chefs, which meant great eating for all of us. Haha. :D The food at the preps was… well, can you just say PLENTY? :D

This is going to be a long post, because of all the awesome things that happened during this wedding. :D

See their invite? Cake box style. :D

1

Giveaways=wooden spoons. I like. :D

2

12

We headed down the lobby for more portraits.

13

14

After that, I left Jon to relax and headed back to the bride. I remembered shoveling food in my mouth, then going to the room to shoot Raquel. Haha. XD

16

17

Reflection fun again. :D

18

19

Off to Mary the Queen church, one of my favorite churches! I love Jon and his parents, they’re all smiles. No case of nerves here. :D

36

On to more couples’ portraits. :D

37

38

39

40

Car blur! Yeah! XD

41

42

43

Lahvet. :D

44

45

Their first dance had everything, from tons of colorful confetti (a personal favorite of mine :D )…

46

to the fireworks at the end of the dance. Awesome. :D

47

48

Jon’s dad: “If you can do the 10-second kiss with your wife, I can do it better with mine.” A very cool dad. XD

49

Jon singing to Raquel and to the rest of the guests.

50

Cake-cutting time! :D

51

There was also a game for married couples. Couples basically score points by matching their answers with one another.

52

But after reactions like this…

53

or like this…

54

the host, RJ Ledesma (love his column, by the way XD), decided to have everything decided with kisses, which led to kisses like this…

55

And like this (hawt XD).

56

And the newlyweds loved it all. :D

57

Other suppliers credits. :D

The bride’s prep dress and entourage by Francis Libiran, the flowers and styling by Beth Amat of Eve and Co., the very PINK lights in the reception by Sensitivity, and the strings at the reception by Tina Pasamba. :D Awesome people with awesome work!

We got home pretty late, but I don’t really care, because it was a very fun wedding! What a way to start my December! :D Congrats guys!

Oh, this is a shameless plug: Jon will be working on some cooking show with San Miguel Food Corp. and is due to be released mid next year, so watch out for it. :D (yes, this is a direct copy from Erron’s blog. Hehe. :D )
