So… Makati. The nightmare for all photographers. Haha. XD But wait, I’m getting ahead of myself.
Chifai and Queenie are going to get married on the 8th of May, and Jay Jay will really be their photographer then. Unfortunately, I might not be there, because I’m gonna be coming from Boracay (there’s a wedding, people, not on vacation ). Luckily, they chose me to do their pre-nup (last April 19, to be exact). And so I got to meet another really fun couple. So how was the pre-nup? Read on. XD
The first part of their pre-nup was in Makati. Well, they wanted their pre-nup to be in Makati, in the parks there, and when I saw the first park we went to, I was like, WOW. This is awesome. Unfortunately, we needed a permit. Same with the second park we went to. So seriously, Makati, how are people supposed to enjoy them parks with all those requirements? I mean, granted, this is a pre-nup, but it’s for personal use only. It’s not like we’re going to make big bucks from shooting this. It’s just for their wedding.
But I digress. Thankfully, the admin of the third park we went to in the Makati area, the Washington Sycip Park, allowed us to shoot in the park, provided we weren’t going to use the pictures in magazines. Yay! Thank you people of Washington Sycip Park!
On to the pictures. Apparently, Chif and Queenie weren’t used to posing. I sure didn’t see that in these fun photos. That’s a tip: let couples be themselves, and you’ll have great photos. Yes, I learned that from the great photographers in Imagine Nation (yes, this is a shameless plug).
This was last April 24, 2010. It’s been a long time since I’ve had an on-site, so that day was great for me. Hehe. I actually just finished making the slideshow like… 10 minutes or something before it was actually going to be shown. Blame my slow card reader and… so many other things. But the important thing is, I finished, and it got shown. Yay. SO, since it’s going to be a while before I post their actual wedding photos here in my blog, check out the slideshow. The song is “Stolen” by Dashboard Confessional. Enjoy!
So… 1.9.10. XD 3rd wedding only for the year, and it was already awesome! Thank you Jay Jay for making me your second photog. It was also this wedding that I got to experience shooting with Mayad Studios (although I know them already… well, not all of them. I got the cold shoulder treatment from some of them… ahem ahem XD), and shooting with them just helped make the shoot funner (yes, that’s not a word). This wedding was also of course, coordinated by Amanda Tirol and her team.
What is the story of this awesome couple? Well, I guess we can first say that it was actually started by their respective fathers. Every time their families would see one another, Richie’s dad would tell Alex’s dad that one day, one of his sons would marry one of Alex’s dad’s daughters. Talk about foreshadowing.
Anyway, they met really in a church retreat in 1999, and then dated on and off until Alex went to college in Paris in 2001 (and yes, you will notice that the so many guests here are from different nationalities… it’s because Alex attended school in so many places ). And basically, Alex and Richie just kept in touch (Richie went off to London for his masters), and finally, one summer in 2005, since they were both single, they got back together! And eventually, Richie proposed in January 2009. Talk about made for each other.
So, on to the pictures of this really great wedding!
For some reason, we had no VA. Well, watcha gonna do. Haha. XD
Anyway, Hari and Lia are both doctors working down somewhere in Mindano (if I remember correctly). Cool right? Dangerous, too. They were so busy with their work down there, I don’t even know if they got the chance to do a pre-nup shoot. I mean, I offered. Haha. XD Oh, and my memory sucks, I know. But anyway, at least they found the time to get themselves married, and that’s the most important part, right?
April 1. Holy Thursday for this year. And the day of this awesome shoot. XD JD and Vanessa are getting married on the 24th of this month (just sharing XD) and so this was the only time they had for a pre-nup. Again, just sharing. XD This was a themed pre-nup, and the fact that they had a Combi, a Vespa, and that we would be shooting in the Filling Station certainly helped excite me for the shoot. XD I love pre-nups with all the props and stuff. Heehee. It was also an advantage that it was a holiday (well, in most places anyway, I think). XD

Woohoo! December again (29, 2009, to be exact XD)! XD All of this happened in Sofitel. Yay. First time for me to have a garden wedding there, hopefully won’t be the last, ’cause it was definitely enjoyable.
Oh and this day was Carlo’s birthday. Just sharing.
We shot this one in Blue Bay Waters Resort in Quezon Province last March 17, 2010 (Why does this get posted right away? Um… just because? No more questions now. I own this blog after all. XD). Yep, kinda far away, which is why Jimbo gets a special mention here. Hey, I’m generous with praise. XD
So… first wedding of the year. Call time at the hotel of the bride and groom? 3 AM. Yehmen. XD This was last January 3, 2010, 2 days after my birthday. Just sharing. XD
I forgot why Alain and Eileen wanted a 7 AM wedding. XD But anyway… yes, the wedding was at 7 AM. So you know that whoever would be attending really, really love these two. XD Good thing their hotel was just in Astoria, near where I live, so no problem on being late or anything. The bigger problem was letting my mind work. Oh well, it was a problem a little coffee had no trouble fixing.
