Yay, another debut! I love debuts. :D (Yes, that’s a hint that I love shooting debuts. :P Like duh.) So thank God last May 21, 2010, He gave me one, and a circus-themed at that at the Grand Terrace Venue in QC. :D

Inna is a student from Ateneo (booooo… I kid, I kid XD), and the responsible student that she is, she actually brought a reviewer, because she had a quiz the day after the debut. How about that, huh. XD And I’m not kidding either. You’ll see it later. :D

All this was organized by her very nice dad, Sir Perry. :D I think he was more enthusiastic about it than she was. Haha! :D

So, without any more ramblings from me… welcome to Nuvo Cirque! :D

Yay, Enchanted Kingdom! I’ve been here twice, but never to shoot. So when Jamie offered me the opportunity to come along last June 7, 2010, of course I jumped at the chance. Yeh. :D

It was a fun pre-nup, and I think that was the point of Jayson and Dang anyway. :D They came with an entourage actually. Haha. So while we were off shooting pics, the rest of them were just wandering around EK. Fun stuff. XD

Me, Jamie, and Jayson and Dang all got unlimited rides. Even if Dang was scared of some of the rides, that didn’t stop her from getting on some of them. Go Dang! :D

For Imagine Nation Photography, shot with Jay Jay Lucas. No VAs, ’cause of… I forgot. Haha. No wedding that day of March 27, 2010, had VAs, I think. XD

What’s Nathan and Joyce’s story? Well, I got it from Nathan himself. :D Nathan’s cousin Karina (who, incidentally, was Joyce’s maid of honor), came to visit him when he was in Perth, Western Australia. At the time he was single with no interest in a relationship but, through Karina’s efforts of matchmaking, Joyce added Nathan on Facebook. Karina further got things going by inviting Nathan into her and Joyce’s conversation, then suddenly leaving. This got the two talking. XD

From having no intentions of getting into a relationship, in a nutshell, the two had more things in common than they thought, so it wasn’t even more than a month that they already knew they would get married! Isn’t that amazing? :D Good job Karina! :D

So… everything was in Alpadi Estate in Antipolo. We got there via Marcos Highway… and before that, we stopped at Burger King. Yay, food. XD Oh, and guess what happened when we got to Alpadi? More food, ’cause neither Nathan or Joyce were there yet. Haha. I thought my stomach would explode that day. And it was so hot too. XD

So, when Nathan and Joyce finally arrived… something to do. Yay. :D On with the pictures!

So the day finally arrived. After so many days of planning and panicking and all that jazz, the date for Jake and Anna was March 13, 2010. :D I know, because I was there. XD From the pre-nup to some other details, I was there. And so I finally present their wedding in my blog. Yay. Haha. :D It took a while to post, but it’s finally here!

D and D Day! Yay. XD

June 8, 2010

For Imagine Nation Photography, shot with Benjie Tiongco and Jaja Samaniego, with a special guest appearance from Toto Villaruel, all because well… he wanted to. XD

3 months (more or less) after their pre-nup in UP (my first one there XD), they got married! Yay. XD March 6, 2010 is the date, don’t forget. XD Their wedding day was also a lot of firsts for me, as this was my first time to shoot in Vivere Suites, and in St. Jerome, both in Alabang. Yay. :D After so many months of waiting and being a nervous wreck (well, in my case at least. Why? I don’t know, I’m just paranoid I guess? XD), this wedding finally came to pass. It was my first of March this year too. Can I keep track or what? XD

Anyway, so… how to start the day? No idea. Maybe let’s just start writing, yeah? XD Be prepared for a lot of pics, because I’m proud of this wedding. :D

It was one fine Wednesday afternoon. I had just eaten breakfast and was expecting to do pretty much nothing for the whole day. Suddenly, my phone rang. It was my boss Sir Jong, asking if I had a shoot that day. When he found out that I didn’t, he told me that Becca Music was looking for a photographer because they would be interviewing Louie Giglio that day. Thankfully, it was just in Oakwood in Ortigas, which was what, five to ten minutes away from my house. And of course, I said yes. XD

Who’s Louie Giglio, you ask? Well, he’s just one of the most awesome speakers I’ve ever heard in my entire life. :D He talks about God with such passion that it’s really impossible to just listen to him and not be moved. If you want more information, go read about Louie Giglio in Wikipedia or something. XD

I spent the next hour taking a bath, dressing up, and doing my daily readings, and then just praying to God for the great opportunity, because I wasn’t able to go to Passion Manila the night prior, the event where he talked. So anyway, when I finally met up with the people from Becca Music… it started.

He was just a very nice guy, very down-to-earth. He just started talking, and well, just by listening while taking photos, I learned things like he’s from Atlanta, he likes Coke (but it’s not his favorite drink), he pays attention to Philippine politics, he follows news about Manny Pacquiao (well, who doesn’t? XD), and the lead singer of Owl City, Adam Young, is Christian (he tweeted “He is alive” during Easter, apparently. Cool, huh? XD).

However, the most important thing I probably got that day came about when Maan (I think) asked Louie if he had any advice on how to improve the Philippine Christian music scene. Louie first said that the best piece of advice he could give was what he got from someone else (I forgot who said this): “Tune your guitar”. He then started talking about Chris Tomlin. Aside from him talking about how he was surprised when he first met Chris (surprised because… well… just because XD), Louie believes that the reason Chris Tomlin became really, REALLY big with his music was that fame didn’t matter to him. All Chris wanted to do was play music for the Lord, and wherever he was sent, no matter the number of people he was playing for, he gave it his all. Another reason was that Chris never forgot who he was mainly playing for: God. He never allowed himself to be placed on a pedestal.

What does that have to do with tuning our guitars? Well, it’s simple. “Tune your guitar” simply means to make sure what we’re doing is all for the right reasons, and that whatever we are doing, we are doing our best. If you’re doing it for fame, that will eventually disappear. If you’re doing it for money, eventually, you will no longer be the in thing, and you won’t be making money anymore. But if you’re doing it for God… well, you’ll just be surprised at where you will suddenly be. One day you could just be another garage band, the next day you can be performing

Isn’t that inspiring? We complain so many times about where God is sending us, we forget what we’re really supposed to do. No matter what your position is, no matter what you’re doing, it is important BECAUSE GOD SENT YOU THERE. God meant for you to be there for a reason. So just do whatever you are doing the best way you can, and if you do become famous, make sure to always give it back to God.

Thanks to God, Sir Jong, and Becca Music for this really great opportunity. :D
