The event was coordinated by My Big Event. No, the event is not mine, it’s the name of the team. XD
Yehey, another wedding posted! April 24, 2010 was the wedding of JD and Vanessa (no, really? XD). 23 days ago from this day we did their pre-nup, and now… it was the big day! So let’s get to it!
And we’re back in Tagaytay! This one’s just another quick post, with all these pictures being my favorites from this shoot. Everything that happened this day of February 24, 2010 happened in The Boutique, that very nice hotel in Tagaytay (although I really don’t understand the logic of some of their bathrooms having glass walls next to the balconies… XD).
This was last April 24, 2010. It’s been a long time since I’ve had an on-site, so that day was great for me. Hehe. I actually just finished making the slideshow like… 10 minutes or something before it was actually going to be shown. Blame my slow card reader and… so many other things. But the important thing is, I finished, and it got shown. Yay. SO, since it’s going to be a while before I post their actual wedding photos here in my blog, check out the slideshow. The song is “Stolen” by Dashboard Confessional. Enjoy!
For some reason, we had no VA. Well, watcha gonna do. Haha. XD
Anyway, Hari and Lia are both doctors working down somewhere in Mindano (if I remember correctly). Cool right? Dangerous, too. They were so busy with their work down there, I don’t even know if they got the chance to do a pre-nup shoot. I mean, I offered. Haha. XD Oh, and my memory sucks, I know. But anyway, at least they found the time to get themselves married, and that’s the most important part, right?
Yay, another Tagaytay wedding. This happened right after Jake and Anna’s pre-nup, so this is the 22nd of January, so you could say I was meant to come with Toto to shoot this wedding. Or something like that. XD It was my first time at Nurture Spa for the preps, and you know, new places are always exciting. Yay.
So, say it with me: a backlog has been posted! XD This wedding was last WAY December 18, 2009. Yep, December last year. I know, I know. I’ve been busy. Sue me.
Let’s move on please. Yay. Arvin and Lyn are like really sweet together, you’ll see them later in the photos if you can’t take my word for it. They’re also both really nice, so shooting them was a PLEASURE.
Whoo, 2nd December 24 wedding! On a side note, yes, I am not going to be posting in chronological order anymore. Aside from the fact that it’s predictable (it is, really! I swear! XD)… well, there, I just don’t want to be predictable. Yay. XD
Weddings at Work had this poll for suppliers earlier this year (you’d think it’s already late 2010 XD), asking for their most memorable wedding of 2009. I didn’t get to submit this wedding at all (because well… I was busy), but for me, this is my most memorable wedding of 2009. Why, you ask? Well, plenty of reasons.
1. Jason and Anna are one of the coolest, goregeousest (yes, that’s not a word ) couples I’ve ever shot;
2. It was December 24 (um, duh!) and it was in Tagatay (meaning it was cold!);
3. Despite the fact that it was the day before Christmas and the couple flew in all the way from Guam, they still had plenty of guests. As in the house was packed! I mean, fine, granted that pretty much all of their guests are home for the holidays, still, it was a big thing for them to be away from home and other loved ones to attend Jason and Anna’s wedding, and that was a big, touching thing for these people to do. Kudos to them. And finally;
4. On the way to the wedding, we saw a really big traffic accident (yes, the grotesque, misshapen cars are still in my mind. Thank God there were no bodies to be seen.), and it reminded us of the fact that we’re thankful we’re still alive to enjoy Christmas with our loved ones, and it also reminded us to take our time going home. Yes, this had nothing to do with the wedding. Sue me.
For me personally (and people who know me well know I am my own worst critic), Jason and Anna’s pre-nup was one of the best shoots I’ve ever done. Would their wedding match up or surpass their pre-nup? I think it did.
Again, we’ll skip a bit (sorry backlogs XD), and we’ll go to more recent shoots. Haha. Jake is my batch mate in high school and college, although we had different courses, and yes, he’s getting married already! Cool. Anyway, they’re having their wedding in a few months, and I was really honored that they decided to get me as their photographer.
Anyway, since they only had a short time before the wedding, they decided to have the pre-nup as early as possible, and thankfully it fit into my schedule, and thankfully also, Anna’s family has a house in Tagaytay. Hehe.
So… hmm… how do I sequence the pictures… I’m not really sure, haha. It’s actually a long and complicated story, because we arrived in the house almost like sunset already, and so… ahh, it’s too long. Let’s just tell it while we show the pics, yeah?
Again, I apologize for not being able to update so quickly. Pretty much half of the month of December, I had shoots, so there was no time, really. But I will leave you with this on-site slideshow of Jason and Anna’s wedding last December 24. It’s my latest on-site, and I lahvet. Haha. XD
The song is “I Will Love You”, sung by Fisher. I shot this with Toto Villaruel and Myra Ho. Thank you also to everyone who was with me that day, as we all know December 24 is like totally lazy day, the day before Christmas, but we all did our tasks well.
Again, Happy New Year and hope you enjoy the video!
