Yay, first blog of 2018! I was supposed to blog about something else, like my shoot for Isidore Watches (which will be coming soon, promise), but… well, I started this year not so great. I started the year questioning a lot of things about my life, like my career, and so many other things. So you know, I just wanted to post something that would make me happy (and hopefully all you readers too ^^). So today’s blog post is about Singapore!
Ahh, Singapore. I first went there when I was a teenager, a very jaded teenager at that, so I didn’t really appreciate it before. When Rae and I went back to Singapore in 2011, that was when she introduced the magic of Singapore to me. What magic, you ask? Oh nothing much, just the well-working transportation system. Yes, that was magic to me! I didn’t think it was possible, since I was only exposed to the Philippine setting. XD You could go to anywhere in Singapore just using trains and buses. IT WAS SO AMAZING.
Anyway, so we went back in 2012, and then also in 2013. Yay. Yes, Singapore is a happy place for us. But it was only when we went back in 2014 that I decided to just capture stuff on my camera. I don’t know why, maybe it was because on the day we arrived, we immediately went to the Annie Leibovitz exhibit at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore, and then I read somewhere there that she would just take her camera out everyday, and just take pictures of moments and happenings… and because I want to become a great photographer too, I tried it out in Singapore. Haha. XD
Anyway, as I mentioned before in my blog post about Vietnam, this will not be a strict travel blog thing. I just took photos of whatever was visually interesting for me, and cute things. And yes, please read the captions! Haha. XD
Enjoy the photos. 🙂
It was raining when we arrived. Huhu.
When I saw that Annie Leibovitz was having an exhibit, WE HAD TO GO!
Never leave home without it.
From the local 7-11. How come we don’t have interesting stuff for sale in the Philippines? Haha.
Yakult or something. Lens cap for scale.
Showing off the new tattoo (at the time XD).
Coffee: never travel without it.
Wish these buses were in the Philippines. Lol.
Cool cap bro.
Another place we always go to whenever we go to Singapore: MOS BURGER!!!
Missing this. Huhu. Especially the rice burger.
Awfully Chocolate: never visit Singapore without visiting this place.
Someone’s happy. XD
We met up with one our Singapore-based brides, Ivy! 🙂 She treated us to Starbucks. :D
I’ve always wondered what “raw sugar” meant. XD
I forgot what this was, but I always like visiting other Starbucks branches in different countries to see different pastries.
Our home station for the duration of our stay.
Yay patterns. Also, unlike in the Philippines, even if you make tambay here, no one will rob you. XD
Bus schedules. Wish it were like this in the Philippines too!
Just playing around. Yay.
Next day. Even more playing.
The wifey getting up. More touring around to be done!
Lost in Orchard Road. XD

It was racing season that time, I think. F1? I forgot. Look, racing car. Lolz. XD
Mint Museum of Toys!!! Finally got to visit!!!
Old school sign.
Robot heaven! Well, the old school robots where they were assembled by hand, so toys were more expensive before. I read that somewhere in the museum. XD

I wonder who was the James Bond here? Roger Moore? So cute. Hehe. XD
Superman, Spider-Man, and Captain America. Apparently, Cap was called Captain Action before?
Captain Haddock, Ultraman, and 8 Man! It’s blurred, but check out the estimated value of the toy. @_@
Various iterations of Mickey Mouse. XD
Tetsujin 28-go. The wife is cute. XD
More Ultramen. XD

Cool lunchboxes! For some reason, I remembered wrestler/actor Dave Batista, because he collects lunchboxes. Yay.
Ooh, Beatles toys!
The Lone Ranger… also known as Range Rider? XD
After the tour, we ate at the museum cafe. Dessert!
Having fun at Vivo City. It has like a mini pool, where you can just soak your feet. No swimming I think.
See? Kid having fun!
Kid 2… oh wait, that’s the wife. Lolz.
Actual kid number 2. XD
Rae on orange.
Civilian War Memorial
Tour bus! Double decker with an open top. XD
We met up with Rae’s cousin Angel, who is based in Singapore. We usually meet her whenever we go to SG. ^_^
Colored this time. Yay.
Rae and Angel.
Bus routes! Or was it train routes? Whatevs.
Angel brought us to Chinatown in Singapore! Works for us, because we’ve never been there before.
Playing around with long exposure.
In Filipino, this can translate as “I’m tired” Street. XD
Someone playing around with a drone, yay.
Cute restaurant menu. And efficient too. XD
Lolz. Good lighting for attention. XD
